Friday, June 28, 2024 AirAsia has announced a significant upgrade to its reservation and passenger-processing systems aimed at enhancing the overall travel and booking experience for its customers. Scheduled from 7:00 pm (GMT+8) on July 10, 2024, to 3:00 am (GMT+8) on July 11, 2024, the upgrade will temporarily impact several key services. During this period, AirAsia advises all guests to take proactive steps to ensure a smooth travel experience.
These include performing self check-in using the AirAsia MOVE app (formerly known as the airasia Superapp) at least 14 days prior to departure for flights scheduled between July 10 and July 11, 2024. This applies to all guests, including those with group bookings and connecting flights during the affected timeframe. To mitigate potential delays, passengers, especially those with group bookings, reduced mobility, or special needs, are strongly encouraged to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their scheduled departure time.
Services such as counter and kiosk check-in, as well as baggage drop, will be impacted by the system upgrade across all AirAsia-operated airports. For a seamless boarding process, passengers are urged to download their e-Boarding Pass from the AirAsia MOVE app and store it digitally on their mobile devices or digital wallets. This eliminates the need for reprinting passes at the airport.
