Husband and wife James and Rebecca Capener have an unusual job: as an acrobatic juggling act on cruise ships. The couple, who are both 28 and from Perth , travel the world entertaining crowds on ships from Princess Cruises , Cunard and even Disney Cruise Line. James joined his family's circus act when he was just five years old.

"From what started out as a solid friendship turned into a relationship two years later," James told 9Travel. They have just finished performing on the new Sun Princess.



Of course, doing challenging stunts with props such as sharp knives is hard enough on land - never mind on a moving ship. James said sometimes it can get tough. "Whilst standing on a stack of three rollers, the ship suddenly banked to one side and I came off. "Crash, bang, rollers everywhere." "The audience got quite the fright.

" "When I did it successfully, the audience gave the biggest cheer as they truly understood how difficult it was to do in these rough conditions," he said. Meanwhile, lugging all that gear around the world also raises some eyebrows. "It takes up four large suitcases," he said.
