A key focus of VisitBristol.co.uk is sustainability, achieved through optimized font use, image compression, and minimal video content, all designed to lower the website’s carbon footprint.
Accessibility is also a crucial feature, with user-friendly fonts, strong color contrasts, and thoughtful spacing ensuring a seamless experience for all. With mobile users representing over two-thirds of site traffic, the mobile-first design includes intuitive scrolling, vivid highlight colors, and straightforward filtering options, though the site remains equally stunning on desktop displays. This user-centric approach simplifies navigation and enhances the overall user experience.
The website’s creation was led by Simpleview—the foremost provider of digital marketing solutions and technology in the travel and tourism sector—in partnership with Visit West.
