Tuesday, July 2, 2024 Vietnam Airlines marked the 30th anniversary of its uninterrupted service between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK), celebrating the milestone by welcoming its 15 millionth passenger. During a high-profile visit to the RoK by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a Vietnamese delegation, the airline also forged new partnerships with Korean enterprises. Initiating its journey with the inaugural non-stop flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Seoul, Vietnam Airlines has substantially enhanced bilateral exchanges in trade, culture, and commerce.

This connection has grown to include six direct routes connecting major cities like Hanoi, Da Nang, and Cam Ranh to Seoul and Busan, with a robust schedule of 112 flights per week. Employing advanced aircraft like the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787, Vietnam Airlines offers stylish and comfortable travel experiences. Over three decades, it has conducted 65,000 flights, carried 15 million passengers, and transported 291,300 tons of cargo between Vietnam and the RoK.



Despite significant challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the airline has rebounded, with impressive traffic of 562,000 passengers in the initial months of 2024 alone.
