The event was graced by Mukesh Kumar Meshram, Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, Uttar Pradesh, Deepa Ranjan, Mission Director of UPSRLM, Eesha Priya, Special Secretary of Tourism, Uttar Pradesh, among other prominent attendees. The first MOU forged a partnership between the Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Tourism, led by Mukesh Kumar Meshram, and the State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM), with Deepa Ranjan representing the latter.

This five-year pact is designed to not only boost tourism but also enhance tourism-related infrastructure while concurrently advancing sustainable livelihoods and improving financial services access for rural communities. Key initiatives under this MOU include the identification and rectification of infrastructural deficiencies in selected villages, enhancement of tourism facilities, community mobilization for tourism ventures, execution of capacity-building programs, and the promotion of homestays. It also encompasses short-term training for various stakeholders such as Self-help Groups, homestay operators, and tourist guides, alongside efforts in social media and content management, and organizing familiarization trips.
