DUBLIN Airport has issued a major warning for passengers heading abroad this weekend. Bosses have warned of a "busy but smooth" weekend ahead as car parks are sold out. Thousands are set to pass through each day between Friday and Monday.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Dublin Airport wrote: "All of our long-term car parks are sold out for this weekend. "Only limited spaces are available in our short-term car parks. "Passengers without a booking should plan to travel to the airport via bus, taxi or drop-off.

" Each day between Friday and Monday will see around 100,000 passengers flying in and out of Dublin Airport . Demand for parking in Dublin Airport's car parks is extremely high for the days ahead, with both long-term spaces sold out in the coming days. Media Relations Manager at daa, the operator of Dublin Airport Graeme McQueen, said that they're "looking forward to a busy but smooth weekend.

" He added: "We're now moving into the peak summer season, with families starting to head off on their summer holidays and with lots of tourists arriving into Dublin ahead of visits to all four corners of Ireland. "Numbers flying this weekend will also be swelled by football fans heading over to the Scottish and English cup finals in Glasgow and London, respectively, while big numbers of rugby fans will fly to London to take in Leinster's Champions Cup Final versus Toulouse." There are only limited spaces in the Dublin Airport short-term car parks due to "big demand" over the weekend.
