The survey took responses from thousands of Which? members, who highlighted Aldeburgh as a quiet coastal day out.

Though the seaside town is much quieter than some of Britain's more well-known beaches , it remains famous for plenty of coastal favourites. In particular, the town is known for its great fish and chips and Maggi Hamblings’ Scallop on the beach - a giant sea shell art piece.
