Saturday, June 15, 2024 Turkish Airlines launched a new route connecting Denver International Airport (DEN) and Istanbul Airport (IST). This addition marks DEN’s largest international network expansion, now offering nonstop flights to 31 destinations across 17 countries—the highest number in its history. “This is an incredible day for Denver,” said Mayor Mike Johnston .
“Today’s inaugural direct flight to Istanbul connects Denver to the world. Thanks to this new flight, we are creating jobs and economic growth right here in Denver, while expanding opportunities for Denver businesses not just in Turkey, but in places around the globe that are served by Turkish Airlines. The first flight arriving from Istanbul carried a notable Turkish delegation headed by Prof.
Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines. Accompanied by other top executives and media personnel from Istanbul, the group plans a two-day visit to Denver and the surrounding Front Range area.
