Friday, June 14, 2024 Vietnam Airlines to launch direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Manila starting June 17, enhancing Southeast Asian connectivity. Vietnam Airlines is poised to introduce non-stop services from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Manila starting June 17, becoming the first Vietnamese carrier to provide direct connections to the Philippine capital. Flights from Hanoi to Manila will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while the Ho Chi Minh City to Manila route will run four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Both services will utilize Airbus A321 aircraft, equipped with both Economy and Business class seating options. This expansion is a significant part of Vietnam Airlines’ strategy to enhance its international route network by linking Manila with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, key economic centers in Southeast Asia. The establishment of these direct routes aims to boost economic, cultural, and tourism relations between Vietnam and the Philippines, as well as within the Southeast Asian region.

Additionally, Vietnam Airlines provides the only direct flights from the UK to Vietnam, departing from Heathrow Terminal 4. These flights connect to a broad range of destinations across Vietnam, Asia, and Australasia, including India, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and the Philippines. Passengers can purchase round-trip economy tickets from London Heathrow.
