As reported by the Courier earlier, all trains between Leeds and Hebden Bridge have been cancelled or are being diverted this afternoon after emergency services were called to the tracks. British Transport Police have now confirmed officers were called to the railway near Copley just after 11.30am to report of a casualty on the tracks.

A spokesperson said: “Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead. "The incident is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
