Thursday, June 6, 2024 The Tokyo Chuo City ‘Cultural Program’ Support Committee along with Princess Tiara Inc. organized ‘Projection Mapping in Tsukiji Honganji Temple’ on Saturday, May 18 this year. The historic image roll of the foreign settlement that was present in Tsukiji from the Edo era to the Meiji era was incredibly projected onto the historic structure Tsukiji Honganji with light.
This projection mapping occasion was joined by 12060 individuals as an instructive content to understand the attraction of the area. A function was organized to rejoice the launching of the display. Among the attendees of the event were big names.
A lot of people came to witness the projection mapping event. The antiquity of Tsukiji was presented in a tale accompanied by the projection of historic maki-e. ‘Future Tsukiji’ drawn by kids of Tsukiji Kyobashi Elementary School is also projected.
A family in their 40s who took part with their parents and kids ardently stated that they are able to absorb the history of the Tsukiji area, and it was a delightful experience that will stay in their recollections as parents and children. This project is being executed with a ‘Projection Mapping Support Project Grant’ from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government along with the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau..
