Especially when it comes to travelling in a confined space with hundreds of other strangers like on an airplane. So choosing an airline, based on how stringent their cleaning processes are is something no doubt many travellers prioritise.
To help with that, the cleanest airlines in the world have been revealed, with the announcement of the 2024 Skytrax awards - considered the 'Oscars of commercial aviation'. Votes were gathered from surveys of more than 21 million customers from 100 countries about 350 airlines. Here are the top 10 cleanest airlines in the world right now.

Korean Air is the flag carrier of South Korea and lands at number ten on the list. The airline only narrowly missed a place in the top ten for the overall best airlines, sitting in 11th spot. China Airlines is the state-owned flag carrier of the Republic of China.
It is one of Taiwan's two major airlines, along with EVA Air, and placed in ninth spot. Japan Airlines also known as JAL or Nikkō, is Japan's flag carrier and largest airline, headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo. It has been recognised as the eighth cleanest airline in the world.
Japan Airlines was also named the 6th best airline in the world overall and placed 7th for the best cabin crew. Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines was recognised as the 7th cleanest airline in the world. In the overall rankings it was considered the 12th best airline.
