Planning a city break in 2024? If you're looking for a UK staycation , there's a city in the northwest of England that could be the perfect destination. A new study from the team at Which? Travel asked 4,000 holidaymakers to rank their experiences of visiting cities across the UK. The cities were scored on factors such as accommodation, food and drink, lack of crowds, tourist attractions and value for money.

Cardiff The Welsh capital scraped a place in the top ranking. Cardiff got four stars for accommodation and shopping. The Welsh capital is also one of the UK's cheaper city destinations.
