IN just a few days, an Irish seaside town will transform to host a nine day festival. With over 70 performers, there is something for everyone. Summerfest, located in Dun Laoghaire, takes place over a two-week period from Friday, July 5 to Sunday, July 14.
The festival will provide the best legendary Irish artists, karaoke parties, tribute shows and up and coming talents. The majority of the first weekend of shows are sold out, but a number still have tickets remaining. The events will take place in a number of locations throughout the seaside town.
And Dun Laoghaire train station is located in the heart of the town making it very easy to travel there. Headline artists include The Beat (UK) featuring Ranking Junior, Gemma Hayes, Bagatelle, The Frank & Walters, Paddy Casey, Sack, Mik Pyro, The George Michael Experience, Colm Lync, Scullion, Aja Steely Dan experience, The Rob Strong Band, The Daft Punk Experience plus Interactive Karaoke parties. Tribute shows include a Bob Marley show, a Janis Joplin show, the Dave Grohl experience, a George Michael show, a tribute to David Bowie and the Daft Punk experience.
Interactive Karaoke Shows will include Fleetwood Mac and Abba. There will also be open mic nights. Tickets are sold for each event separately.
