Monday, May 27, 2024 The Marianas stood out among over 500 booths earning the title of “Most Popular Booth” from the organizers of the 39 th Seoul International Travel Fair . It was held this month in South Korea . This accolade was based on the enthusiastic response from an estimated 42,000 attendees.

The Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA) captivated visitors with a nature-themed booth that highlighted the attractions of Saipan, Rota and Tinian. The booth, set against the scenic backdrop of Managaha island and the iconic Chamorro latte stones, featured traditional Chamorro and Carolinian dance performances, drawing substantial crowds during the event held from May 9-12, 2024, at COEX in Seoul. Thomas Kim, MVA Marketing Manager, remarked, “The dances received a huge response at the fair and opened the eyes of attendees to what makes the Marianas unique among beach destinations.



Our indigenous Chamorro and Carolinian culture continues to be an important part of the MVA’s marketing messages, and we’re grateful to receive an award for our promotional effort and, more importantly, to share our island charm and destination information with many potential visitors.” Additionally, the MVA and its members engaged attendees with a consumer survey, a photo booth, Marianas Blend coffee, and various prizes, including roundtrip Incheon-Saipan airline tickets provided by Jeju Air and T’way. The Seoul International Travel Fair featured 502 organizations and companies from 39 co.
