Olbia is a coastal city located in the northeast of Sardinia, Italy. The hottest month of the year is July as temperatures can reach highs of 32C and lows of 21C, making it the perfect summer getaway.

It is most well-known for its historic centre filled with archaeological landmarks, piazzas ringed by wine bars, and authentic eateries. Olbia is Greek for 'happiness' and the city is a popular jumping off point for those heading on to Costa Smeralda. The city overlooks the gulf that encloses Tavolara and Molara Islands, and has some of the most famous resorts including Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo.



In Gallura, you'll find some of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. The city of Olbia is one of the most well-connected cities in Sardinia. The port of Olbia is a popular port for ferries, with many lines connecting it to the rest of Italy.

Olbia port is in the centre of the city and the port of Golfo Aranci is located 13km away. Just off the coast is a prime marine wildlife area, and many boat tours will allow you to see dolphins. The Olbia Old Town showcases the history of the area, with many elegant buildings, small shops and bars lining Corso Umberto, the main street.

Here you will see the Town Hall and the Archaeological Museum on a small isthmus near the port. Located in front of the Museum of Archeology and placed there in 2019.
