AN Irish campsite that's perfect for a family holiday has been named the best in Europe for its incredible views and stunning beaches. Chleire Haven on Cape Clear Island off Co Cork earned the title from popular Conde Nast Traveller magazine. Cape Clear Island is located around eight miles off the coast of west Cork.
The small island has a population of less than 200 people making it the perfect spot for a tranquil and relaxing get away. Ferries run to the Gaeltacht island every day with tickets starting from just €10. There is a large car park on the pier where the ferry departs so you have somewhere to leave your car for the duration of your trip.

Here you will have a choice of traditional camping, yurts or bell tents overlooking the beauty of the breathtaking Island.
