WITH a golden sand beach, exciting water sports and a buzzing funfair – it’s no surprise this seaside town is rated “the best” in Ireland. The popular seaside town Tramore, meaning big strand, is located in County Waterford . Tramore Beach, with 5km of sandy shoreline, is the perfect place to soak up the sun this summer .

The sun spot is known for its quality waves that are perfect surfers year-round. It’s also popular for horse riding, hiking and fishing. If the weather takes a turn, Tramore's indoor swimming pool Splashworld is close by.



Splasheworld has multiple swimming pools as well as fun water slides and a wave pool. The eye-catching red and green slides wind their way out of the building and carry you back in again. After a relaxing swim, get your heart racing at Tramore’s fun fair.

Thrilling rides include waltzers, dodgems, mirrors, waterwalkerz, Rio Grande train, fun house, swizzler, future dance, mini cars and a ghost train. There’s also mini golf, a minion corner, ice bar, slushie bar and a number of other stalls. Little ones will love the minion bounce house or trying their luck with Hook-A-Duck.

The amusement park also offers water activities so be sure to bring a change of clothes. Take a plunge on the water walkers, pedal boats or bumper boats. Finish your day with a stroll into the town for a classic fish and chips.
