THIS Fourth of July take a trip further south to a small Texas town that attracts 500,000 visitors every year. Its holiday festivities bring travelers from near and far together for spectacular fireworks, an airshow, and tantalizing skydiver expeditions. If you're trying to get out of town for the Fourth of July weekend but unsure of where to go, look no further than Addison, Texas .

Normally the town has a population of less than 20,000, but during this special time of year, it attracts half a million visitors to its paved streets and grassy fields. Tourists crowd outside to catch a glimpse of its highly-anticipated and talked-about 'Kaboom Town!' show. Rated as a top-five fireworks show by USA Today, Addison Kaboom Town! will take place on July 3.

The American Pyrotechnics Association also sang its praises in a release where they said "Everything is bigger in Texas and that is true of the exceptional Addison Kaboom Town!" They added that attendees can "witness the world-class patriotic display by Pyro Shows of Texas." They also shared that this year's production will introduce “ghost” shells that "will break from one side to the other in a wave along with diamond screamers and stained glass shells." The event has been attracting attention for the last four decades with not just a light show but aerial performances, airshows, and live music.

It's a great way to kick off holiday festivities that roll into the next day. The fireworks show itself is only 25 minutes long but.
