Friday, June 21, 2024 Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global IT consultancy and technology provider, has opened its Aviation Digital Center in Alfragide near Lisbon, Portugal, following a strategic partnership with TAP Air Portugal . This collaboration, established in 2022 after an international tender, aims to accelerate TAP’s digital transformation and technological innovation. Through this partnership, TCS is helping TAP streamline and modernize its system architecture, enhance customer experience, and boost operational performance, ultimately benefiting the airline’s customers.
The new Aviation Digital Center is staffed by TCS consultants, solution architects, and technology experts who leverage cutting-edge digital technologies, such as cloud computing, data analysis, and automation. This center is part of the TCS European Delivery Network and will also serve as a nearshore facility for other global TCS clients in the transportation sector. This initiative is expected to create more technology jobs in Portugal.
