4% decrease in passenger vehicles transported. In the second quarter of the fiscal year 2024, spanning from April to June, the company recorded a transportation of 1,451,768 passengers, marking a 5.8% reduction from the previous year’s tally of 1,541,081 passengers during the same period.
Cargo transportation saw a modest increase, with 86,813 units moved in Q2 2024, up by 1.7% from the 85,359 units transported in Q2 2023. However, the transport of passenger vehicles saw a significant decline, with 209,760 vehicles transported in Q2 2024, down 11.
4% from 236,756 vehicles in the same period the previous year. The second quarter also saw the initiation of the Victoria I cruise ferry service on the Tallinn-Stockholm route, operating as the companion vessel to the Baltic Queen from May 31, 2024. This service will continue through the summer until August 31, 2024, and includes special cruise offerings to Visby, Gotland.
In the month of June 2024 alone, the company reported a decrease in passenger transport by 3.7%, with 570,803 passengers compared to 592,887 in June 2023. Cargo units transported in June 2024 also decreased by 8.
