Monday, June 3, 2024 Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) and the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) are enhancing their collaboration by extending their SWISS Air Rail service from Geneva Airport. This expansion incorporates additional Western Swiss cities such as Vevey, Montreux, Sion, Sierre, Visp, and Brig into the SWISS network, facilitating easier access to well-known vacation spots in the Canton Valais, including Crans-Montana, Verbier, Zermatt, and Saas-Fee. The expanded service will be available for booking starting June 11.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by Switzerland’s leading airline and its national railway company to improve their combined service offerings, ensuring seamless travel between air and rail modes. The SWISS Air Rail program emphasizes convenient, direct rail connections that align with SWISS’s international flights, enhancing service reliability, particularly during disruptions. Travelers can book their combined air and rail tickets through the SWISS website or any travel agency by simply selecting a rail station as their departure or arrival point.
