Tuesday, June 11, 2024 The busiest travel season of the year has arrived. Stockholm Arlanda Airport is anticipating a high volume of passengers during June, July, and August. To accommodate this surge, the airport has introduced 17 new scheduled routes for the summer.
“I would like to wish everyone a warm welcome to Arlanda this summer. Both we at Swedavia and the airport’s operators are well prepared and ready to receive all expectant holidaymakers,” says Arlanda’s Airport Director Karl Eklund. ” I would like to encourage everyone to prepare for their trip by checking when we recommend you to arrive at the airport and to head straight to a check-in kiosk to collect your baggage tag and also check in if you haven’t already done so at home.
By arriving at the airport at the recommended time and being well prepared, you contribute to a smoother flow for everyone with shorter waiting times in both baggage drop-off and security checks,” Karl Eklund continues. Swedavia advises passengers traveling within Europe to arrive at the airport between 2.5 to 2 hours before their flight.
For international flights outside Europe, the recommended arrival time is 3.5 to 3 hours prior to departure. Additionally, Arlanda’s website features a tool that allows passengers to input their flight number to receive tailored arrival time recommendations.
“However, keep in mind that a recommendation is just a recommendation. As a traveller, you are always personally responsible for kee.
