The campaign cleverly links the success of the local film industry with the beauty of Nova Scotia’s communities. “This is a unique opportunity to leverage the film industry’s achievements and raise awareness of Nova Scotia as a must-visit destination,” explains Susan Corkum-Greek, Minister of Economic Development.
The campaign coincides with the second season of the popular series “Sullivan’s Crossing,” filmed entirely in Nova Scotia. Ads showcasing the province’s scenery are strategically placed during the show’s broadcast on CTV, streaming platforms, and social media, reaching viewers in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. This initiative not only promotes tourism but also emphasizes the economic significance of the film industry.
According to the Motion Picture Association of Canada, film productions in Nova Scotia in 2022 generated over $22 million in spending on goods and services provided by local businesses.
