Friday, June 7, 2024 San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) is delighted to welcome travelers to and from its three latest nonstop destinations launched by Spirit Airlines, a year after the airline began service in San José. This month marks the expansion of Spirit’s services at SJC, introducing new direct flights to Baltimore-Washington (BWI), Los Angeles (LAX), and Portland, Oregon (PDX), as well as increased frequencies to Las Vegas (LAS) and San Diego (SAN). “The addition of these new nonstop flights by Spirit Airlines is a significant milestone for San José Mineta International Airport and our community.
It not only enhances our connectivity to key destinations but also underscores our commitment to providing travelers with more options and convenience. We are thrilled to celebrate this expansion and look forward to the positive impact it will have on our residents and visitors alike,” said San José City Manager Jennifer Maguire . In celebration, local travelers are invited to join the airport’s inaugural “Spiritaneous” Sweepstakes, named after the spontaneous nature of the prize trip.
The grand prize includes a roundtrip for two to Los Angeles (LAX) on Thursday, June 13, plus a four-day parking pass at SJC. To enter, participants must arrive on June 13 between 1:30 and 2 p.m.
