Monday, June 3, 2024 Spirit Airlines has appointed Brian McMenamy, Vice President and Controller, as the Interim Chief Financial Officer, effective June 14, 2024. This move follows the departure of Scott Haralson, Executive Vice President and CFO, who is transitioning to the role of CFO at a larger, publicly traded company unrelated to the airline sector. Haralson will remain in his current position until June 14, 2024, ensuring a seamless handover.

Spirit Airlines will embark on a thorough search for a permanent CFO, leveraging the expertise of a prominent executive search firm. “We are grateful for Scott’s leadership and significant contributions over his eleven years with Spirit,” said Ted Christie , Spirit’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Scott’s accomplishments are too many to list, but he made a positive and lasting impression on the business.



We wish Scott all the best and thank him for his service and dedication to Spirit.” With close to four decades of corporate finance experience, Brian McMenamy joined Spirit in 2017, following a distinguished career at American Airlines spanning 33 years. During his tenure there, he served in several finance capacities, including Vice President, Finance; Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis; and Vice President, Controller.

McMenamy earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate Sc.
