Monday, May 20, 2024 Garuda Indonesia (GA) and Singapore Airlines (SIA) pledged to enhance their commercial collaboration, aiming to provide mutual benefits for members of their frequent flyer programs and to consider revenue-sharing for flights between Indonesia and Singapore, pending regulatory approval. The agreement for the frequent flyer programs was formalized in Jakarta by Garuda Indonesia’s CEO, Mr. Irfan Setiaputra, and SIA’s CEO, Mr.

Goh Choon Phong. Additionally, a revenue share agreement was signed by Mr. Ade R.



Susardi, Garuda Indonesia’s Director of Service and Commercial, and Mr. Lee Lik Hsin, SIA’s Chief Commercial Officer. The upcoming frequent flyer partnership will enable GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer members to earn and redeem miles on flights code-shared by both airlines.

The revenue-sharing arrangement aims to enhance joint flight capacities, marking a significant development toward a potential commercial joint venture covering flights between Singapore and Indonesia operated by both airlines. The airlines are also intensifying joint marketing efforts to boost tourism, potentially including collaborative promotions and familiarization trips for travel trade and media representatives. Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia already share a robust codeshare relationship, which has recently expanded.
