Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) Expands Operations to Northern Europe in Winter 2024-25 Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has recently unveiled ambitious plans to expand its operations to northern Europe during the winter 2024-25 season. The airline is set to introduce five new services to key destinations in the region, aiming to cater to the growing demand for winter travel experiences.

The new services will connect travelers to picturesque and culturally rich destinations, including Tromso, Kiruna, Rovaniemi, and Salen-Trysil Scandinavian Mountains Airport. These additions mark a strategic move by SAS to tap into the increasing interest in winter tourism and outdoor activities among travelers. Currently, SAS operates services to Salen-Trysil from Copenhagen and Aalborg during the winter schedule.



With the upcoming expansion, the airline will enhance its connectivity by introducing new routes from Aarhus and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Salen-Trysil. This move reflects SAS’s commitment to providing convenient travel options for passengers from multiple cities. In addition to the expansion at Salen-Trysil, SAS will also introduce seasonal services from Copenhagen to Rovaniemi and Kiruna.

These routes will offer travelers direct access to the enchanting landscapes of Lapland, known for its Northern Lights, winter sport.
