A TRAVEL expert has revealed six "game-changer" packing hacks to avoid checking luggage into the hold. Avoiding paying for checked luggage is one great way to keep holiday expenses down but becoming a minimal packer can be difficult. Mike Harvey, Managing Director at 1st Move International , shared six incredible packing hacks that will make your travels a lot easier.

He explained that bringing all your travel essentials can be difficult without splurging on an increased baggage allowance. The first tip he shared is to try the KonMari folding technique which involves folding clothes into compact rectangles that can stand upright in your suitcase. He added: "This is a game changer, as it not only saves space but also makes it easier to see and access each item without messing up the rest of the arrangement.

" The technique has three ways to approach certain types of clothes. The t-shirts and shirts can be done by folding one side toward the centre, folding the other side the same way, folding in half lengthwise and leaving, folding in half or thirds and standing the shirt/t-shirts upright. For sweaters, it can be done by folding one side toward the centre, folding the sleeve to fit within the rectangle's width, folding the sleeve back flush with the edge of the rectangle, folding the other side the same way, folding in half lengthwise, folding in half or thirds and stand the sweater upright.

For pants and shorts, it can be done by folding the legs in half, folding the legs upwa.
