Friday, June 28, 2024 Saudia , Saudi Arabia’s national flag carrier, received the title of ‘The World’s Most Improved Airline’ and secured the top spot for Best Economy Class Airline Catering at the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards. Skytrax, an international air transport rating organization, hosted this prestigious event. The World Airline Awards are determined by a thorough global customer satisfaction survey spanning several months and including evaluations of over 375 airlines.
Over recent years, Saudia has consistently climbed in rankings, achieving the title of ‘The World’s Most Improved Airline’ for the third time. From 82nd place in 2017 to 23rd in 2023, and now 20th in 2024, Saudia’s rankings have dramatically improved. The airline’s ‘SHINE’ transformation program played a crucial role in these achievements, focusing on improving the guest experience, optimizing operational efficiency, and enhancing service and product offerings.
This led to the initiation of a new digital era marked by advanced technologies for Saudia. These advancements helped Saudia achieve a top 10 global ranking in On-Time Performance (OTP) for six consecutive months in 2023. Notably, in May 2024, Saudia ranked among the top five globally for arrival On-Time Performance (OTP-A) and achieved the highest global ranking for departure On-Time Performance (OTP-D).
