Saudia, Saudi Arabia’s national airline, showcased notable growth in operational performance during the first half of 2024, according to their latest performance report. The airline transported 16.
3 million passengers across domestic and international routes, a 19% increase from the same period in 2023. This surge was facilitated by operating over 94,300 flights, encompassing both scheduled and additional services, an 11% rise. Saudia also logged 287,200 flight hours, up by 11% from the previous year, and maintained a stellar on-time performance rate of 89.
3%. On the international front, Saudia carried more than 9.1 million passengers, a 24% increase from the previous year, and conducted 42,000 flights, a 13% rise compared to the same period in 2023.
The international fleet accumulated 199,000 flight hours, a 12% increase. Domestically, Saudia served over 7.2 million passengers, reflecting a 14% rise, with 52,300 flights operated, a 10% increase.
Domestic flight hours grew by 9%, reaching a total of 88,000 hours. H.E.
