Saturday, June 29, 2024 The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has formally launched its pavilion at this year’s Seoul International Book Fair, where it grabbed the limelight as the Guest of Honor. This five-day event, happening from June 26 to 30 at the COEX Convention and Exhibition Center, rejoices the opulent cultural tradition of Saudi Arabia and reinforces collaborations with the Republic of Korea. The Saudi pavilion, headed by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission (LPTC) as part of the Ministry of Culture, presents a complete traditional experience that displays the kingdom’s miscellaneous creative production.

The Saudi pavilion presents a diversity of undertakings, encompassing panel dialogues, discussions and live performances of old-style art. Visitors can also browse through a distinctive display of books and items found in the kingdom and relish a Saudi dinner night, including nationwide dishes from diverse regions. The cultural program is spread across the Saudi pavilion and the central stage, showcasing an illustrious team of writers and novelists.



Highpoints comprise dialogues on the history and inheritance of Saudi Arabia, the role of language in conveying traditional ethics, and the mutual characteristics concerning Korean and Arabic dialects and cultures. The program also digs deep into the implication of verse to Arabs, Saudi novels and means to increase collaboration between Korean and Arabic musical arts. Among the important launches at the pavil.
