In exciting travel news, the Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport, following a significant upgrade, will open as a new airport with new routes and commercial flights starting in mid-July. This development in global travel news promises to ease the journey to this UNESCO -designated region, making it a more attractive destination for global tourists.

With the expansion of aviation services and airlines operating in and out of Salerno Costa d’Amalfi, the Amalfi Coast is poised to welcome an influx of international visitors eager to explore its stunning landscapes and historic charm. A New Gateway to the Amalfi Coast Each year, the pastel-painted villages and lemon grove-covered cliffs of the Amalfi Coast attract around five million tourists. While the coastal scenery is undeniably enchanting, reaching this idyllic destination has often been a challenge.



Traditionally, travelers have had to fly into Naples airport and then endure a lengthy combination of trains and buses to reach cities like Amalfi and Positano. This year, however, marks a significant change. Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport, located just 45 kilometers southeast of Amalfi and 21 kilometers from Salerno, will start hosting international flights.
