Tuesday, June 11, 2024 Safran Aircraft Engine Services inauguratres sustainable facility at Brussels Airport. It is a subsidiary of the renowned Safran Aircraft Engines. This new 8,500 m2 building, situated in the North Zone of the airport, serves as a dedicated maintenance shop for the latest generation LEAP-1 engines, which power modern aircraft like the A320neo and B737 MAX.

Designed and constructed by the Brussels Airport Company, the facility aligns with the airport’s strategic commitment to sustainability. It meets the highest environmental standards by being Net Zero Carbon and energy positive. This achievement is made possible through the use of 100% renewable energy sources, including extensive solar panels and innovative circular heating systems.



Remarkably, the building generates more energy than it consumes.
