Wednesday, May 29, 2024 Qatar Airways , an airline renowned for its excellence, has unveiled plans to equip three of its Boeing 777-300 aircraft with Starlink’s cutting-edge, high-speed, low-latency Wi-Fi by the end of this year. This initial phase marks the beginning of a broader strategy to enhance passenger experiences by incorporating SpaceX technology across its modern fleet over the next two years. The announcement was made on the second day of the Aircraft Interior Expo in Hamburg, Germany.

Present were Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Group Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways, and Mr. Mike Nicolls, Vice President of Starlink Engineering at SpaceX.



Renowned for its innovative approach, Qatar Airways is advancing its inflight services by introducing Wi-Fi connectivity with speeds up to 500 megabits per second per aircraft. This service allows passengers effortless access to a range of internet-based activities, from streaming videos and online gaming to enriched web browsing.
