Monday, May 20, 2024 The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) and LATAM Airlines have established a strategic alliance to boost Peru’s appeal as a tourist destination in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the United States, and Mexico. These nations represented 61% of all international visitors to Peru in 2023. Under this partnership, which remains active until June, digital marketing efforts are being rolled out across these countries to showcase the attractions of Áncash, Arequipa, Cusco, La Libertad, Lima, Loreto, and Piura.
Notably, Chile and the United States, which are key sources of tourists, will see enhanced outdoor digital advertising. The goal of this alliance is to secure competitive edges by jointly developing advertising strategies that promote and market Peru as a tourism hub, offering varied airfare options, improving international flight connections, and bolstering Peru’s global reputation and positioning. LATAM Airlines provides robust connections to Peru from the involved international markets, offering 17 direct routes and 205 weekly flights.
This connectivity gives travelers diverse options to visit Peruvian destinations, improving accessibility for global visitors. It’s noteworthy that LATAM Airlines accounts for 52% of the international seating capacity to Peru, making it the predominant airline in the market. The campaign targets highly relevant markets for Peru, with Chile as the primary source of internationa.
