Thursday, June 20, 2024 The Pacific Marine Tourism Guidelines is being advanced with the help of teamwork between the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme and the Pacific Tourism Organization to enlighten the sustainable growth and managing of marine tourism undertakings all through the Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs). It delivers an all-inclusive outline for sustainable marine tourism. The strategies are intended to be used by both PICTs and tourism workers, encouraging responsible and sustainable tourism actions that prioritize the safeguard and preservation of wildlife, comprising sea turtles.

The mission aims on 15 marine tourism attractions in the Pacific, comprising Palau, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Federated States of Micronesia, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Tuvalu, Fiji, Tonga, Niue, Samoa, Cook Islands and French Polynesia.
