Tuesday, May 21, 2024 The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is excited to introduce a new sustainability and social responsibility program at the PATA Annual Summit 2024 (PAS 2024) held in Macao, China, from May 15-17. The program, named PATA Kind Hearts, highlights the organization’s dedication to promoting sustainable tourism and having a positive effect on local communities at its event locations. The PATA Kind Hearts initiative led to the donation of nearly 100 children’s books to the Macao Cultural Institute’s libraries during PAS 2024.

Delegates, speakers, and staff contributed by bringing children’s books in various languages and genres, which were collected at the summit. The donation was officially presented to Eric Fong, Vice Chairman of the PATA Macau Chapter and Director of Marketing at Macau International Airport Co. Ltd.



, on behalf of the institute by PATA CEO Noor Ahmad Hamid during the closing ceremony on May 17. According to Noor , “The PATA Kind Hearts initiative was created to spread joy and nurture a love of literature among the children of Macao, China. It reflects our dedication to community engagement and support, with an emphasis on the development and well-being of the younger generation.
