Saturday, June 8, 2024 The New York City Tourism Foundation, the charitable branch of NYC Tourism + Conventions, hosted its second annual Summer Soiree at Pearl Alley in The Seaport on Wednesday, June 5. This event gathered supporters and enthusiasts from across the city to celebrate and contribute to the city’s cultural vitality. Celebrating its 25th year, the Summer Soiree has become a key event for raising funds dedicated to New York City’s arts and culture sector.

The funds generated through this event are used to provide grants to local nonprofits across the five boroughs, ensuring the City remains a vibrant cultural hub for diversity and innovation. The New York City Tourism Foundation was incorporated in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to educate both domestic and international audiences about the city’s rich and diverse cultural community. Over the years, the Foundation has played a crucial role in promoting New York City’s unique cultural landscape.



Through its Borough Cultural Tourism Development Grant Program, the Foundation has provided over $4.5 million in grants. This program is administered by the offices of the City’s five Borough Presidents, who work to distribute the funds effectively and equitably across all boroughs, supporting a wide range of cultural initiatives and organizations.
