Friday, June 7, 2024 A significant road near Finsbury Park train and bus stations was closed early Friday morning following a stabbing incident, causing substantial disruptions for London travelers. The Metropolitan Police cordoned off Stroud Green Road at its junction with Seven Sisters Road, leading to increased traffic congestion in the surrounding areas. This closure came after a stabbing that took place outside Finsbury Park station the previous night.

The police presence, including patrol cars and tape, was evident outside the station from 7 am on Friday, highlighting the severity of the situation. This incident has led to traffic queues extending from Manor House to Hornsey Road as drivers navigate the closed section of Stroud Green Road between Seven Sisters Road and Woodstock Road. The road closure and ongoing police activity have significantly affected local public transport.

Several bus routes, including the 4, 19, 106, 153, and 236, have been diverted to avoid the closed area, as reported by the BBC. Despite the incident, Transport for London (TfL) confirmed that Finsbury Park station remains open, but travelers should be aware of delays and diversions impacting their journeys. Moreover, the incident has caused delays on multiple London Underground lines, including the Jubilee, Piccadilly, and Victoria lines.

Additionally, parts of the Piccadilly and District lines are suspended, further complicating travel for those commuting through this critical junction in Nor.
