Tuesday, May 21, 2024 German-based cruise line TUI Cruises, in partnership with Royal Caribbean Cruises, has revealed that its newest vessel, Mein Schiff 7, will embark on a test voyage from June 16 to June 21, 2024. This special “anticipation” voyage will give guests a preview of the ship’s offerings before its official christening on June 22. The preview journey will commence from Kiel, Germany, and will visit: Upon returning to Kiel Bay, the ship will be christened on June 22.

This trial run allows the crew to fine-tune their operations and offer passengers an early experience of the ship, though some services may not be fully available. Mein Schiff 7 is in its final construction phase at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Turku, Finland. It is the first new ship for TUI Cruises since the launch of Mein Schiff 2 in 2019.
