VISITORS to a popular Florida amusement park will soon be able to escape the heat and ride an Antarctica-themed rollercoaster. The experience will even feature some of the freezing continent's most famous residents - penguins . SeaWorld in Orlando has announced plans to unveil its newest roller coaster, the Penguin Trek, according to News Channel 8 in Tampa Bay.

The ride will be located within the theme park's newest Antarctica Realm. The park has already set some requirements for riding the roller coaster, which will open to the public on July 7. All thrill-seekers must be at least 42 inches tall with a height limit set at 77 inches.



If you want to be one of the first to experience the ride, you can purchase an annual pass. Annual pass members will be able to check out the roller coaster starting July 2 with special ride times. Just purchase your membership by then and you will still qualify to ride faster.

Guests of all ages will ride in snowmobile-style cars at speeds up to 43 miles per hour. You will be able to let your inner explorer loose as you race through both indoor and outdoor environments. The 3,020-foot track is sure to get that adrenaline pumping.

The park promises plenty of exciting twists and turns through icy caverns. Perhaps the best part is the encounter at the end where guests will be greeted by some aquatic creatures. Get up close and personal with some penguins at SeaWorld's own penguin habitat.
