Monday, June 24, 2024 The National Museums of Kenya (NMK) and CityBlue Hotels are thrilled to unveil a collaborative initiative aimed at boosting tourism and cultural awareness in Kenya. This partnership opens avenues for mutual sponsorships, combined branding efforts, shared marketing strategies, and various other cooperative ventures. Established under the Museums and Heritage Act of 2006, NMK is a comprehensive institution dedicated to the acquisition, preservation, research, documentation, and exhibition of Kenya’s historical and contemporary cultural and natural assets.
The mission of NMK is to foster understanding, appreciation, and sustainable engagement with these resources, serving both Kenyan and global communities now and in the future. CityBlue Hotels, noted as Africa’s rapidly expanding local hotel chain, has operations across Kenya in cities like Mombasa, Nairobi, and Lamu, with upcoming properties. The chain also extends its presence in Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Ghana.
Additionally, CityBlue maintains a strategic partnership network encompassing over twenty hotels in South Africa and Mozambique.
