Thursday, June 13, 2024 The Historic Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary concert series is an annual event featuring top-tier artists performing on the grounds of the historic property in Petros, TN. Set against the backdrop of Frozen Head Mountain, this mountain venue has become a haven for music lovers and outdoor adventurers who come to hike, camp, bike, paddle, climb, and ride in the Cumberland Mountains of East Tennessee. The property owners have not only created a fantastic venue space but also repurposed a historic building with countless stories to tell.

It’s fitting that the concert series continues to feature musical artists who are also storytellers. This year’s concert series has shows scheduled for June, July, and August. On June 29, 2024, eleven-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson will take the stage.



Future shows include Grand Ole Opry member and CMA artist Travis Tritt on July 27, and Blackberry Smoke on August 24. Tickets are on sale for all three shows, and VIP packages are available. All shows are rain or shine.
