Wednesday, June 5, 2024 MTR Corporation revealed on June 3, 2024, that it will restart the In-town Check-in Service at Kowloon Station from Thursday, June 6, specifically for Cathay Pacific customers initially. Additionally, starting Friday, June 7, the same service at Hong Kong Station will be expanded to accommodate Hong Kong Airlines passengers. The In-town Check-in Service provides a seamless check-in and luggage management system for Airport Express users, facilitated through collaborations with various airlines.
Since resuming this service at Hong Kong Station on July 5 of the previous year, MTR has been working closely with airlines to enhance the speed, convenience, and comfort of train travel for passengers commuting between the city and the airport. At Kowloon Station, this service will operate from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm daily and will initially serve Cathay Pacific passengers. The station is equipped with six intelligent check-in kiosks and two automated bag drop counters.
Commencing this Thursday, travelers can utilize these facilities to expedite their check-in and luggage handling processes and smoothly transition to their Airport Express journey. For travelers who have checked in online, they can directly print their boarding passes and luggage tags at these kiosks before heading to the self-service luggage drop. The extension of this service at Hong Kong Station now includes Hong Kong Airlines and will be available from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm starting this Friday.
