Thursday, June 27, 2024 In a spectacular showcase of Morocco’s rich cultural tapestry and scenic beauty, the Moroccan National Tourism Office recently organized an exclusive familiarization tour for travel operators from Mumbai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad. The event took place from June 7 to June 14, 2024, offering a week-long expedition that traversed from the dynamic urban environment of Casablanca to the mystical charm of Marrakech. Participants were treated to a rich blend of Morocco’s urban and rural landscapes, engaging in activities that spanned the tasting of Moroccan and Indian delicacies to visiting landmark historical sites.

Highlights included the imposing Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca and the ancient ruins of Chellah in Rabat, providing insights into Morocco’s grand architectural and cultural heritage. The journey was punctuated by a captivating overnight stay at the Agafay Camp, where the serene desert backdrop was enlivened with traditional music and dance performances. The tour also featured visits to Marrakech’s iconic Jemaa el Fna square, where the vibrant marketplace offered a plethora of shopping opportunities, and the exquisite Jardin Majorelle Garden alongside the Yves Saint Laurent Museum and the majestic Bahia Palace.
