Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) welcomed the 1 millionth tourist of 2024. Sutapa Amornvivat, a Thai national, arrived in the Maldives today on AirAsia flight FD 175 at 11:15am. She is visiting for a holiday vacation with her family at Niyama Maldives.
This is her third trip to the Maldives, following her honeymoon. Visit Maldives hosted a very special event in partnership with the Ministry of tourism to celebrate this great milestone at Velana International Airport today, joined by other government authorities such as the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), Maldives Immigration, and Maldives Customs Service along with various Industry stakeholders. A special holiday was offered to the one millionth tourist with courtesy from Sun Siyam Resorts.
