Tuesday, June 11, 2024 The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), also known as Visit Maldives, is excited to share that Destination Maldives was prominently featured in a series of webinars organized by the Japan Outbound Tourism Council (JOTC), an entity within the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA). These webinars, which included four sessions, were designed to promote various travel destinations to the Japanese travel industry. Destination Maldives took the spotlight in the inaugural session on May 30th and 31st, 2024, where it presented the latest travel updates and guidelines, aiming to inspire travel professionals to enrich their Maldives offerings.
JOTC, charged with enhancing JATA’s communication and cooperation with international bodies, travel ministries, and Destination Management Organizations (DMOs), launched this webinar series as part of their outreach initiatives. Targeting around 300 travel professionals and trade media, the webinar was free to attend and lasted 25 minutes on the Zoom platform. This webinar series served as a significant platform for Maldives to disseminate information, update travel professionals with the latest news from the region, and garner positive media attention.
