Friday, May 31, 2024 Malaysia Airlines is set to significantly enhance its connectivity between India and Malaysia by increasing the frequency of its Amritsar-Kuala Lumpur flights to seven times weekly, starting 1 August 2024. This decision follows robust travel demand and strong load factor performance on this route. The airline had previously doubled its frequency from two to four times weekly in January 2024, showcasing its confidence in this booming market.

The increased frequencies from Amritsar will elevate Malaysia Airlines’ total weekly flights to and from India to an impressive 71. Launched in November 2023, Amritsar is one of three new routes introduced by Malaysia Airlines in India, alongside Ahmedabad and Trivandrum. The airline also recently increased its Trivandrum route frequencies to four times weekly, effective from 3 April 2024.



Malaysia Airlines’ extensive network in India includes flights from nine major hubs: New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, and Trivandrum. The airline serves as a gateway to Asia and beyond for Indian travelers, offering seamless onward connections to destinations in Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, and other key locations in the Asia-Pacific region.
