AN URGENT warning has been issued for thousands of Irish rail customers ahead of the busy weekend across the country. Passengers are being urged to check times before travel and book in advance to avoid disappointment as it is expected that thousands of Irish people will be using the service this weekend. Several events are set to take place across the country during the busy weekend, which will affect several routes due to the great demands of public transportation.

A spokesperson for Irish Rail said: "Busy services are expected this weekend, Friday 21 June to Sunday 23 June. "Customers wishing to travel by rail need to book their tickets online as services will be extremely busy and priority will be given to customers who book their tickets online. "There is limited availability on services so don't miss out and buy now.



The capital will be seeing many music fans to see the Malahide Castle concerts and Pink perform at the Aviva Stadium. The GAA Hurling Championship is taking place this Saturday in Thurles, which will see many GAA fans across the country travel to Limerick to watch the intense match. And the GAA Football Championship is taking place this Saturday and Sunday in Omagh, Castlebar, Thurles and Mullingar.
